 I love these. I once had a Lixit on my outside sillcock which operated very smoothly and was solid metal (it is a gadget to give a dog an constant automatic source of clean water). These are similar but for handwashing sinks.

Pros: Help keep sink clean, easy to use, stops drips, saves water, never have to touch faucet handles.

Cons: All the negative commenters here are likely using the "continuous" flow model which is problematic. You want to buy the "AUTOMATIC" only model, with steel rod, which is absolutely flawless, It has a particular model number which I can't remember (150 maybe? NOT CFLOW). I have been using them for years on various faucets, none of the other brands/styles work reliably like these do, I have tried just about every one on the market.

NOTE: These can cause "plumbing crossover"; in mixer faucets if both taps are open, only one tap should be open at a time. Possible effects of plumbing crossover; are large amounts of wasted heat in hot water line, possible scalding, downline showers or taps that are slow to heat up and never get hot as normal, severe conditions could even cause a toilet to crack. So be sure to only open one tap either hot or cold but not both at the same time.

Love this item. I didn't need it to automatically control water flow. I had a faucet that kept leaking more and more. This has stopped the leak until I can get the faucet replaced
